Esong Lionel Ebong is a Cameroonian wildlife conservation researcher and environmental scientist who founded FReECo
He completed his first degree in Geography from the University of Buea in 2013 and a master’s in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. In 2022, Mr. Ebong got a scholarship in TPU, Russia to study Environmental Engineering with specialty in Ecology and Nature Management where he graduated with first clas.
He has participated in several conservation and academic projects related to pangolins and other species. Ebong’s passion in conservation was stirred in 2017 after he met his teacher/mentor (Mr Lesley Akenji) at the time a Biomonitoring Officer at WCS. Mr Ebong is known for his work on biodiversity conservation, and as a versataile writer.
